Intuitionistic analogues of the Łoś-Tarski Theorem

Abstract:
The structural properties of a mathematical system are properties that refer to the relationship between the objects in that system and not to the nature of the objects themselves. Identifying these properties is especially important for those with a structuralist view towards mathematics. In this lecture, we will review some possible intuitive and informal definitions of structural properties. Next, we will discuss possible ways to refine the definition of these properties in the context of logic and especially model theory. Finally, we will compare these methods and examine their differences and the advantages and disadvantages of each.
